Announcing the VWU Mutual Aid Progam!
The VWU is excited to announce the start of the Union Benefits Program! Mutual aid checks are now available to Union members, as well as food box delivery and a grievance hotline for all Portland area Voodoo Doughnut workers. This just goes to show what the Union can accomplish when workers and community members come together in solidarity!
In order to continue to provide support to our union members, we are asking that the community continue to support us through our GoFundMe! Every donation matters, and will help us to ensure our ability to care for our union members, as well as move forward with further union actions. You can donate to our GoFundMe here.
If the all-volunteer Union can serve Voodoo Doughnut workers with this much love, then Voodoo Doughnut certainly can afford to help too. The Voodoo Doughnut Workers Union will continue to support its workers in their struggle for fair treatment, severance pay, and access to our rightfully accrued PTO. We will hold each other up as we fight for the respect and compensation that we deserve.
